What do you do when you're staying in a motorhome and it's pouring rain outside? Skyler and I stayed inside (doing word games, and painting, respectively). Erik was undaunted and went outside to build a sand castle. He stayed out there for a long time, and wound up building a whole fortress with multiple castles.
Later, the rain stopped, the sun came out, Sky joined Erik outside, and more fortresses were built.
A sandy beach is always a sure-fire hit in our family. (The boys love building castles, and I get lots of time to paint!)
